The Cook and Bolton Families in 1899

James Anderson Cook's first wife was
Margaret Ann Haynie. They had nine children, six sons and three
daughters. The top row in the picture shows the eight children who
lived. One son, David Anderson, lived only six weeks. He died on
September 13, 1890. After Margaret died James Anderson Cook married
Margaret's sister Sarah Rosanna Elizabeth Haynie. Ellen, the baby in
Rosanna's lap, was born October 31, 1898, therefore this picture was probably
made in the fall of 1899. The family to the right of Rosanna was her
sister Eliza Jane Haynie, Eliza's husband Benjamin (Tobe) Bolton and their
three children.
