John & Hannah Simpson

ITEMS SENT FROM FROM WANDA SNYDER 03-10-2002

I've had the good fortune to make contact with Mr. Grant Pinnix, who is related to the Simpson family on both the Pinnix and Simpson sides. He sent the attachment showing "a collage of photos of John Simpson (7aug1786-1jun1868) and wife Hannah Simpson (9dec1788-8nov1857) (very early photos on glass) and their house built ca1820 of bricks made at a brickyard on their property (which is now on my grandparents' property) which was originally used by Capt. Richard Simpson in the 1750s. The house is as it stood just before cousin Naomi demolished it in 1969 and built a larger house for her to live in alone". [enclosed in quotes is info from Mr. Pinnix]

The pictures of John & Hannah are wonderful. I just wish that we could find one of William Randolph and Susan.

Below is another treasure that he included in his correspondence. Hope you all will enjoy reading the letter and seeing the pictures.
