Andrew was a Captain in the Civil War and was an imposing 6'7" tall. He was sheriff of Adair Co. MO in 1870 and
Lawrence Co., Dakota Territory in 1886. After the death of his second wife, Ann E. Johnston, he married 24 year old Isabella
when he was 66 years old.
